AlgoSoc Seminar Series: Algorithmic Effects on Elections: Using Social Media Data Donations to Study Elections

Algorithmic Effects on Elections

The next session in the AlgoSoc Seminar Series examines how social media data donations can help researchers study elections across countries and platforms. “Algorithmic Effects on Elections: Using Social Media Data Donations to Study Elections” takes place online on Friday, 12 December, 14:00–15:30 CET.

The seminar highlights the growing methodological and substantive potential of data donations for studying elections, from issue attention and political communication to algorithmic curation and audience engagement.

Bringing together researchers who have successfully implemented data donation studies in diverse national contexts, the session showcases both the comparative value and the practical challenges of this approach.
