DAISY Symposium on Twin Digital/Sustainability Transition

The Twin Transition: What do we currently know and which questions are we not yet asking?

The Copernicus Institute of Sustainable Development's Special Interest Group on Digitalization and AI for Sustainability (DAISY) invites you to its first annual symposium on the twin digital and sustainability transitions, which will take place on June 10th at Utrecht University.

Digital technologies are often seen as promising enablers of sustainability. Yet, there is also ongoing debate around the impact of digital technologies and the potential (mis-)alignment between the digital and sustainability transitions. What do we currently know about the potential and limits of a twin transition and digital sustainability? What needs to happen to better understand these concepts, and what should researchers do to tackle this emerging and quickly developing field in the coming years?

Join us for an afternoon debating these questions from the perspectives of public governance research, business research and practice.
